Clement John was the sixth son of William Montague and Kitty Glenister. 

Clement John was the sixth of the eight sons and two daughters of William Glenister, Chief Constable of Hastings, his grave is at Hastings Cemetery.

In this picture Clement John and his wife Elizabeth are seen with their daughter Dorothy, her husband Donald Chipman and their baby Edith Adela.

The inscription on their grave reads:-

In loving memory of a dear husband and father Clement John Glenister who fell asleep 21st May 1940 aged 78 years. "abide with me" 
Also of his beloved wife Elizabeth who passed away 16th September 1949 aged 88 years, "re-united in peace".
